Helping scale-up businesses with their brand personas is my sweet spot. I certainly love the challenge of getting under the skin of a company, and the people that built it, then working out their path to greater success.
Interestingly, this brand project was for a company that also helps similar types of businesses – albeit from a totally different viewpoint.
Firestarter is a specialist in helping companies to sell more of whatever it is they make or do. They do this using a number of techniques that take the pressure off the company leaders by getting inside their heads and sharing what they know with their sales teams – among other things.
This brand system took cues from the company name. It's quite difficult to fly in the face of a name like 'Firestarter'! I was particularly pleased with the 'F' icon which was an evolution of an existing brand asset.
I also devised a number of graphic colour background assets that took their names from fire in its different states.
