Interesting project this. It all started with me posting a sweary rant on LinkedIn at the start of all that COVID nonsense about people panic-buying bog roll.
I got a message back from a fella named Ciaran O’Donnell who operates as a ‘plug-in’ finance director for start-ups and early-stage companies who can't yet stretch to a full-time senior bean-counter. He invited me to collaborate on launching his new finance product, Own Your Numbers. My frank post struck a chord.
To be clear, I wouldn’t advocate expletive-laden LinkedIn content as an effective new business strategy. I was just frustrated.

Own Your Numbers is aimed at CEOs and owners of fledgling businesses. The product is a financial scorecard that helps keep track of how well your company is running money-wise and offers remedies on how to run it more effectively. The visual centrepiece of Own Your Numbers is ‘The Donut’. Which is a progress ring that, at a glance, displays the health of your business finances, of you as a CEO and of you personally.
